Community Guidelines
Last updated: 28 October 2026
UDRESS is a place to style and share fashion, safe and welcoming for everyone aged 13 and over. These rules apply to everything you post: photos, videos, Runway walks, outfits, comments, messages, your profile and your username.
What is not allowed
- Sexual content and nudity. No nudity, sexual acts or sexual content.
- Anything that sexualises a minor. Zero tolerance: we remove it, close the account and report it to the authorities where the law requires. Do not post revealing photos of anyone under 18. See our Child Safety Standards.
- Violence and self-harm. No graphic violence or gore, and nothing that shows or encourages self-harm or suicide. If you are struggling, contact your local emergency number or someone you trust.
- Threats and weapons. Do not threaten anyone or point weapons at people. Traditional dress with a ceremonial blade is fine.
- Hate, harassment and bullying. No attacks on people for their religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender or disability, no mocking of someone's body or looks, and no bullying, in any language or dialect.
- Illegal activity. No drugs, counterfeit goods sold as genuine, stolen goods or fake documents.
- Spam and scams. No fake giveaways, no asking for card numbers or passwords, no phishing links and no repetitive promotion.
- Impersonation and private information. Do not pretend to be a person or a brand, and do not post someone's private information.
- Fake accounts and engagement. Do not open accounts to get around a ban, buy or sell accounts, or buy likes, follows or comments.
- Hidden ads. If you were paid, given something or work for a brand in your post, mark it Ad, Gifted or Works with the brand.
- Tags and places. Tag only people who are in the post; anyone can remove a tag of themselves, and people under 18 approve each tag first. Never tag a home or share where someone is right now.
Fashion on UDRESS
Every style is welcome, from traditional dress to streetwear, evening wear, sportswear and swimwear. Borderline content, such as lingerie or very revealing clothing, may be shown to fewer people or held for review. That is not a strike.
Your face, and AI
Try-on, AI videos and Runway walks may only be made of you, from photos of you. Never make an AI image or video of someone else, or one that sexualises, humiliates or deceives. AI-generated videos are labelled as AI-generated; do not remove the label. Do not use AI or editing to show a real person or event in a way that misleads.
Copyright
- Post only photos, videos, designs and music that you made or have the right to use.
- Music: copyrighted music may be muted. A valid notice from the rights holder counts as a strike.
- If you own the rights to something on UDRESS, send a notice with our form at https://udress.app/copyright/notice. How notices and counter-notices work is on our Copyright page.
- In appropriate cases, accounts that repeatedly post other people's work are closed.
When rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the content, limit who sees it, or give your account a strike. Strikes add up, and repeated violations can lead to limits, suspension or closing the account; a strike expires after 90 days. The most serious violations, such as anything involving a minor or a credible threat, can lead straight to suspension or closure.
We usually tell you what was removed and why, and you can appeal from the app.
Reporting and blocking
Posts, comments, messages and profiles have a Report option. Reports are private: the person you report is not told who reported them, and the most serious are reviewed first. Please report honestly: false or abusive reports may lead to action on your account. You can block or mute anyone at any time.
Selling
Describe items honestly and deliver what you promise. Sales happen outside UDRESS, between buyer and seller. Report a dishonest seller with "Report seller".
